Meet Dr. Anwi N. Etame

Dr. Anwi N. Etame is a Therapeutic Optometrist, Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, and founder of Keller Premier Eye Care. She created the practice with a simple goal: to provide the kind of thorough, personal care every patient deserves. For Dr. Etame, that means taking the time to listen, understand each patient’s concerns, explain their eye health and treatment options, and ensure they never feel rushed or like just another number.

Dr. Etame enjoys building lasting relationships with patients and their families and takes a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to every visit. She combines advanced technology and comprehensive clinical care with genuine patient education and personal attention. Her goal is for every patient to feel heard, comfortable, informed, and genuinely cared for.

Her clinical interests include specialty contact lenses for keratoconus and complex prescriptions, myopia management, glaucoma and ocular disease management, and pre- and post-operative surgical co-management. She has a particular passion for myopia management and enjoys partnering with children and their families to help protect vision as they grow.

Dr. Etame earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry and her Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages with a minor in Spanish from Pacific University. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and Tarrant County Optometric Association.

Service is also an important part of Dr. Etame’s life. Through Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH), she has provided eye care to underserved communities in Ethiopia, Cameroon, and Belize and continues to support local efforts that improve access to eye care.

With strong multicultural roots and a deep appreciation for people from all backgrounds, Dr. Etame strives to make Keller Premier Eye Care a place where everyone feels welcome. She believes exceptional eye care is about more than prescriptions and technology; it’s about listening, building trust, educating patients, and caring for the person behind the eyes.

Outside the office, Dr. Etame enjoys traveling, fitness, reading, cooking, and spending time with her husband and three children. As a family, they love exploring different cultures, trying new foods, and finding new experiences throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area and beyond.
